Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Tuesday, December 2, 2014 - A celebration of life will be at 10 a.m., Saturday at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home, 21 Riviera Blvd. Geralyn “Geri” Marie Hardy, age 60 passed away Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014 in Lake Havasu City after a long battle with Huntington’s disease. Geralyn was born Dec. 21, 1953 in Newton, Kan. to the late Delbert Franklin and the late Imogene Teresa (Breault) Hodges. Geralyn attended Eisenhower High School in Rialto, Calif. and graduated in 1971. Geralyn married Douglas Edward Hardy June 15, 1975 at the Mission Inn in Riverside, Calif.; they were happily married for 39 years. Geralyn worked in the auto industry for 33 years including 16 years with Bradley Ford located in Lake Havasu City, as the office manager. Geralyn is survived by her husband, Doug; sons, Brian (Gina) Hardy and Jon (Rachel) Hardy; sister, Giann and brothers, Thomas (Jeannette), Mark Hodges, Allan (Denise) Hodges and Paul (Wendy) Hodges. She also is survived by her two grandchildren, Hudson and Harrison Hardy; niece, Melissa (Scott) Speigle; nephews, Christopher (Terry) Redden and Jeff Redden. She is preceded in death by her parents, Delbert and Imogene Hodges. Geralyn was a beautiful lady with impeccable fashion sense who doted on her family, dogs and grandbabies. She was a strong and generous lady with a gentle heart. The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to the staff of Hospice of Havasu and Flower’s Assisted Living and all other friends and family who supported the family throughout Geralyn’s fight with Huntington’s Disease.
