Vining Funeral Home, Safford, Arizona Pete M. Maldonado May 14, 1933 - November 28, 2014 Pete M. Maldonado, age 81, of Safford, passed away November 28, 2014, following a brief illness. Pete was born on May 14, 1933, in Morenci, Arizona, to Miguel and Beatrice Maldonado. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pete will always be remembered for all of his stories. Pete is survived by: his beautiful wife, Louisa; his sons, David (Becky) Maldonado and Michael Maldonado; his daughter, Cookie (Frankie) De La Cruz; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his sister, Nellie Sanchez; and his brothers, Arthuro Maldonado, Ralph Maldonado and Veto Maldonado. Pete was preceded in death by: his parents, Beatrice and Miguel Maldonado; his step-father, Manuel Soto; his sisters, Mary Maldonado, Consuelo Ruiz and Veva Arrellin; his brother, Sonny Maldonado; his son, Pete Maldonado, Jr.; and his grandson, David Maldonado, Jr. Graveside Memorial Services for Pete will be conducted Saturday, December 6, 2014, at 10:00 a.m., at the San Jose Cemetery by Rev.
