Owens Livingston Mortuary, Show Low, Arizona David Allen Favro August 29, 1936 - December 6, 2014 David A. Favro was born on August 29, 1936 in Cadyville, New York. He passed away peacefully on December 6, 2014, surrounded by family. He was a loving father to both children and step children, as well as serving as a father figure to many of his grandchildren in a world of disappearing fathers. He was loved and will be missed. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 19, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Owens Livingston Mortuary at 320 N. 9th St., Show Low, Arizona. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 12/12/2014 David Allen Favro left this world peacefully at home with family at his side. He was born Aug. 29,1936, in Cadyville, N.Y. David moved to Phoenix in the early ‘60s with his parents. He enjoyed playing the violin as a young man. He also loved ice skating on the lakes in New York and in Flagstaff. When he was young he played on a semi-pro baseball team as a catcher. He loved to hunt, fish, golf and was an avid bowler for many years. He was married to the love of his life, Bonnie, for 41 years. They lived in Safford where he worked for Empire Machinery and later moved to Show Low in 1978. He retired from Empire after 44 faithful years as the parts and service manager. He loved all of his kids and grandkids as much as anybody could. He was preceded in death by his parents Cy and Thelma Favro and two brothers, Ronnie and Gary Favro. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; daughter Renee Favro; son Curt (Kelly) Favro; stepson Richard (Ada) Fowler; and stepdaughter Lori Kennedy; 12 grandkids, 12 great-grandkids and one great-great grandchild. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19, at Owens Livingston Mortuary at 320 N. 9th St. in Show Low.
