Mary Louise Bowling, 80, went home to be with our Lord on Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014.
Mary Lou, lovingly known as Granny, was born Aug. 26, 1934, in Tulga, Ken., to Ernest and Ollie Justice. She was the second of seven children.
Mary Lou moved to Arizona with her late husband Jim Bowling (Eddie) and their children in 1961, and eventually settled in Wickenburg. In 1986, she moved to Oklahoma to be near her children, and returned to Wickenburg in 1999. Mary Lou always loved Arizona.
Anyone who knew her, knew of her kind, giving nature, and her tender loving heart. She would do anything she could possibly do to help anyone in need. She always put everyone’s needs ahead of her own. She also loved to cook. Her children say, “No one will ever replicate her friend chicken,” and no one ever left her home hungry.
Mary Lou’s greatest love and devotion was for her five children, whom she is survived by, Karen McConnel and Shane (Sharla) Bowling of Oklahoma, Paulette Hayden, Eddie (Vickie) Bowling and Jimmie Bowling, all of Wickenburg. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and her siblings, Ernest Justice and Ivory Baily of Ohio, Allene Adkins, Joseph Justice and Louis Justice, all of Kentucky.
She was predeceased by her parents and brother Edgar.
Rest now, Mama. We all love you and will miss you so much, but we know you will look over us from Heaven.
