Vining Funeral Home, Safford, Arizona Doyle Lee Herbert October 13, 2014 ~ December 5, 2014 Doyle Lee Herbert, age 67, of Safford, entered into rest December 5, 2014, in New Kirk, New Mexico. Doyle was born on October 13, 1947, in Ashurst, Arizona, to James Guy Herbert and Annie Viola McClain. Doyle grew up and attended school in Fort Thomas, Arizona. He would spend his free time fishing on the Gila River. Doyle served his country in the United States Army from January 1967 until January 1969. He served in Vietnam as an Army Sargent. Doyle met and later married Judy Glenn in 1970. From this union was born two sons, Gregory Lee Herbert in 1970, and Ryan Brady Herbert in 1973. Doyle was preceded in death by: his parents, James Guy Herbert and Annie Viola McClain; his brother, Carl “Catfish” Ray Herbert; and his sister, Mary Lou Harris. Doyle is survived by: his two sons, Gregory Herbert and Ryan Herbert; his two sisters, Corene Ruth Herbert and Judy Ann Bright; his five grandchildren, Shawntel Garcia, Stephanie Herbert, Shelsea Herbert, Amber Herbert and Nathan Muller; his five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and adoptive children from the neighborhood. Funeral services for Doyle will be conducted Thursday, December 11, 2014, at 2:00 p.m., at Vining Funeral Home's "Chapel of the Valley."
