Wilfred Dean Henry Sr. went to be with the lord Dec. 3, 2014, in Whiteriver. He was born April 24, 1956, to the late Moody and Ruby Henry.
Wilfred graduated from Stewart Indian School in 1974. He loved to be outdoors and enjoyed logging and spending time with his boys and grandkids. He also liked to work on cars with his friends.
Wilfred is survived by his sons, Gifford Henry, Jeremy Henry, Wilfred Henry Jr., Tyrone Henry and Tyson Henry; brother Alfred Henry Sr.; sisters Rose Clay, Ruby Footracer and Valerie Henry as well as his four adopted sisters; uncles Kay Lewis and Mitchell Barlow of San Carlos; and many nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Moody and Rudy Henry; brother Homer Henry; and sisters Jean Marie Henry and Norma Jean Henry.
A wake will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 12, at Regina Henry’s residence, 400 S. Indian Pine Dr. No. 309. Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, at Cooley Mountain Cemetery in Hon Dah.
Tribal chairman, vice, councils, gospel speakers and singers are all welcome. Loggers, friends and family can escort him home at 9 a.m. Friday, Dec. 12, from 400 S. Indian Pine Road.
Silver Creek Mortuary in Whiteriver handled arrangements.
