MCNEY, Peter Bruce

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Friday, December 12, 2014 Peter Bruce McNey, 62, of Prescott, Arizona, departed this life Sunday, Dec. 7, 2014, at the Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott. Peter was born Monday, July 14, 1952, in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, to Ernest and Jean McNey. Peter moved to Prescott in 1959 at age 7 and graduated from Prescott High School, class of 1970. Peter worked in retail sales and was also a musician and singer, starting in the mid 1960s. He also enjoyed playing volleyball, golf and softball and coached the VFW-sponsored team that won Prescott's Little League Championship in 1990. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his son Eric McNey (Lisa); grandchildren Dylan and Lucinda; and sisters Carole Sabo and Barbara McNey. His service will be at noon on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2014, at Heritage Memory Mortuary, 131 Grove Ave., Prescott. A celebration of Pete's life with music and remembrances will be held after the service at Jersey Lilly Saloon in downtown Prescott.
