Carolyn Ann Arndt of Kingman died on Nov. 5, 2014, at her home after a
courageous and graceful battle with cancer. Carolyn was born on Dec. 24,
1954, in Slayton, Minn., to Derald and Carol McLean Nepp.
Carolyn was raised in Lake Wilson, Minn. She was confirmed at Good
Shepherd Lutheran Church. She graduated from Chandler Lake Wilson High
School in 1973. Carolyn then attended and graduated from Minnesota State
University in Mankato, Minn., with a degree in elementary education.
Carolyn and Roger Arndt were married at Good Shepherd Lutheran on Feb.
2, 1979. They made their home in Holland. Carolyn was employed by the
Calumet Hotel as head housekeeper.
Carolyn and Roger were blessed with two children, Albert Lee and Bryan
Derald.
In 1999, Carolyn, Roger and Bryan moved to Kingman. Carolyn worked for
Kingman Unified School District as a custodian.
Carolyn and Roger loved outdoor activities such as boating, fishing and
camping at the lake, and also their children's sporting activities. She
was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution. Carolyn's favorite
moments were spending time with her boys and grandchildren.
Carolyn leaves behind her pride and joy, which were her two boys and
families: oldest son Albert (Marion) and their children, Madilyn,
Gracie, Cassandra and Trenten; youngest son Bryan (Taylor) and their
children, Stephanie and Hunter, who live in Kingman; mother, Carol Nepp
of Tea, S.D.; sister, Kathy Behrends (Leroy) of Slayton, Minn.;
brothers, John Nepp of Lake Wilson, and Paul Nepp (Barb) of Slayton,
Minn; as well as six sisters-in-law and one brother in-law, along with
numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Carolyn was preceded in death by
her husband, dad, brother and sisters-in-law.
Carolyn was a very dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She
was very compassionate and a true friend to many.
Visitation will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014, at Lietz-
Fraze Funeral Home, 1701 N. Stockton Hill Road in Kingman. A graveside
service will follow at Mt. View Cemetery at 3 p.m.
