MOODY, Kathleen (Shtanie)


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 12/19/2014 Kathleen Moody of Whiteriver died unexpectedly Dec. 13, 2014, near Globe. She was born Feb. 2, 1971, to Karen Moody and the late David Bill Moody. Kathleen better known as “Shtanie” was born in Whiteriver and lived in Seven Mile all her life. She graduated from Alchesay High School. After high school she started work with camp crew, she loved her job and always listened to the radio for fire calls. As years went by she joined Riverside Church as a choir member. She loved traveling and doing the Lord’s work. She loved her family and friends very much, especially her nieces and nephews. She loved teasing the kids and always made sure her mom was well taken care and did everything for her. Every summer she looked forward to her camp meetings with church. She will be clearly missed by all she touched. She is survived by her mother, Karen Moody; sisters Sewa Moody (Sherwin James), Evelyn Keyes, Jennifer Moody and Sheila Moody; brothers Fernando Keyes and Joshua Lupe; one goddaughter Tyree Gatewood; 11 nieces and four nephews; five uncles and six aunts; five godsisters; and many cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, David Bill Moody, brothers Lorenzo Keyes and Stuart Moody, nephew Jeremy Lupe, grandmothers Edith Aday and Cora (Bill) Moody. There will be a two-night wake at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 19, at her residence in Seven Mile. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday Dec. 21, at the Riverside Church. Silver Creek Mortuary of Whiteriver handling arrangements.
