William W. (Bill) Darga passed into his heavenly home on Dec. 4, 2014,
at his home in Kingman with his wife, son and furry friends at his side.
Bill was born on Feb. 26, 1921, to Francis Darga and Catherene (Lademan)
Darga in Detroit, Mich., the second son of five children.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II from 1942 to
1946, and served as an insignia painter and B29 flight instructor. He
married Eleanor Choike May 8, 1943, from which his only son was born,
Thomas William Darga. Eleanor passed in 1956 in Detroit. His second wife
was Elizibeth Bagdoll Darga. She passed away in 1987 in Kingman.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Joseph and
Frank; two sisters, Anna and Viola (Dolly); and half-brother Marvin
Darga.
Bill is survived by his third wife, Shirley, of 26 years; half-brother
Ronald Darga; his son, Thomas William (Mary) Darga of Saint Clair,
Mich.; grandson Thomas; granddaughter Kathryn; great-grandchildren
William and Gabriella, all of Michigan, plus several stepchildren,
grandkids, great-grandkids, nieces and nephews.
He held many types of jobs in his early years, ultimately settling on
the television repair business. He owned his own business for a time and
eventually became foreman in the service department at Sears Roebuck. He
retired from Sears and moved to Arizona, where he lived for the last 35
years.
Bill will be placed at his final resting place of Mt. Olivet Cemetery in
Detroit, Mich.
A memorial will be held at the Moose Lodge of Kingman from 2-4 p.m. on
Jan. 22, 2015.
