State Journal-Register (Springfield IL) Monday, December 22, 2014 Havana, IL--Harry Anton Fornoff, 97, of Havana passed away at 6:48pm Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL. He was born October 11, 1917 near Manito the son of Henry William and Anna Marie (Durdle) Fornoff. He married Mildred Vogel Oct 12, 1940 in Manito and she survives. In addition to his wife he is survived by one daughter, Judy (Paul) Shirley of Springfield, IL; five sons: Daryl (Shirley) Fornoff of Bath, IL; Dale (Karen) Fornoff of Wickenburg, AZ, Roger (Brenda) Fornoff of Congress, AZ; Randy (Nan) Fornoff of Havana and Doug (Kathy) Fornoff of Havana. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; one great great grandson and one sister Mary Guengerich of Manito. He was preceded in death by one grandson, two brothers, Nelson and Melvin and one sister Martha. Mr. Fornoff was a member of St Paul's Lutheran Church in Havana where he was very active, Church bowling league and men's club; Tri County Twirllers Square Dance Club; Irrigated Growers Association; Mason County Farm Bureau; and was a farmer all of his life. He was confirmed and baptized at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Manito. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Havana, conducted by Pastor Kevin Wendorf. Burial will follow in the Laurel Hill Cemetery at Havana. Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 7:00pm Tuesday at the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana and one hour prior to the service at his church. Memorial contributions may be made to his church or Mason District Hospital in Havana.
