Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, Arizona, Tuesday, December 23, 2014 Kathleen Ruth Jansen, 82, of Flagstaff, passed away December 17, 2014 at the Peaks Assisted Living. She was born January 18, 1932 in Evanston, IL to Erma and George Allen. Mrs. Jansen worked many years as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She loved learning, her education didn’t end with her Masters degree, she continued learning taking in all she could get. She was active in her community serving as Docent at the Museum of Northern Arizona and as a member of CASA. She was a vibrant woman who loved people and traveling. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Elizabeth Hartman and brother Ralph Shorey. Survivors include her children David (Paula), Chris (Sandy) and Dana Jansen, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The Jansen family would like to express their appreciation to the Peaks and staff for the many years of outstanding care. A private family interment was held at Citizens Cemetery.
