Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, Arizona, Monday, December 22, 2014 Philip Dean Gordon Lifetime resident Philip Dean Gordon passed away quietly Dec. 16, 2014, with family by his side. A graduate of Globe High School, he attended BYU, where he met his wife Nelda. They were married 56 years. He was employed at Inspiration Copper Company and eventually retired from Phelps Dodge in 1997. He served in many callings as a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Miami Ward. He worked with the Boy Scouts for many years. He enjoyed the outdoors, hiking, fishing, gardening, always had a project and loved his family. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, David and Donald Gordon. He is survived by his wife, Nelda; children, David (Odessa) of Miami, Danel (Robert) Mawson of Miami, Duane (Debbie) of Gilbert, Darrin (Marcie) of Millsboro, Del., and Dustin (Cindy Jo) of Logandale, Nev.; 22 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services were held on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014 at the LDS Church in Claypool, Ariz. Interment was at Globe Cemetery in Globe, Ariz.
