At the regular monthly meeting of Aztlan Lodge No. 1, F. & A. M. held Jan. 26, 1895, the following report of the committee on decease of Brother James O'Kelly Floyd was unanimously adopted:
In Memorandum:
James O'Kelly Floyd died at Prescott, Arizona, Jan. 5th 1895. Brother Floyd was born in North Carolina at the time he died was about seventy years of age. He was without any family, never having been married. He leaves to mourn his death, brothers, sisters and a nephew.
Brother Floyd affiliated with the Aztlan Lodge on April 30, 1887; having formerly been a member of the Cariboo Lodge, No. 460, B.C. He was a member of Prescott Chapter No. 2, R.A.M. and also an R. & S.M.
Unassuming and void of offense, he lived quietly and was a good citizen and an upright man and Mason. The great architect of the universe, having called our brother hence, we bow in submission to His will, and trust, that free from care and pain, our brother has found a resting place in that house not made with hands eternal in the heavens.
Transcriber's note: Mr. Floyd is buried in an unmarked grave at the Masonic Cemetery in Prescott, Ariz.
