J. W. Roberts, for a long time a resident of Prescott, but for the past year a resident of Lynx creek, where he was engaged in business, died at this home in the latter placer about 10 o'clock last night, after an illness lasting two weeks.
His body was brought to Prescott this morning and the funeral will take place from S. A. Logan's undertaking establishment to-morrow morning at 9 o'clock to which his friends and acquaintances are respectfully invited.
Deceased was a liberal, or so called free thinker, and it was his request that no religious services be held at his funeral, but that they should consist of a secular nature only and his request will be complied with in this particular.
