BLOSSER, Hazel Berniece

Emmett Messenger Index (Emmett Idaho) Monday, July 21, 2014 Our Lord very peacefully ushered Hazel Berniece Blosser, 96, into Heaven on April 24, 2014. Born in Emmett, ID on March 15, 1918, Berniece was the firstborn of Allen and Hazel Brown. In 1938, she met the love of her life, Eugene "Gene" Blosser of Vancouver, WA. They were married in 1944, while Gene was serving in the Army Air Corps. After WWII, they moved to Spokane, WA, where they began raising three sons. In 1957, they moved to Phoenix, AZ. Berniece was a stay-at-home mom while the boys were in school, then she worked for a local school district for a number of years. Throughout the years, Berniece and Gene were both very active and faithful leaders in the congregations where they served. They were married for 62 years before Gene passed in 2007. Berniece was a wonderful role model to all who knew her, totally devoted to her Lord and Saviour and to her family and friends. Her Christian legacy will long be treasured. She is survived by her three sons, John (Barbara) and Jim (Ronda) of Phoenix, Mark of Black Canyon City, AZ, and two brothers, Maurice and Floyd Brown, along with nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Along with her loving husband, preceding her in death were her parents, her sister, two brothers, and a grandson. A celebration of Berniece's life will be held in Emmett, ID on Saturday, July 5, at 10am at the Heritage Rec. Center, 1471 Republic Lane, behind Albertson's.
