LAUGHLIN, Daniel Lee

The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona Wednesday, December 31, 2014 The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona Wednesday, December 31, 2014 Marabe (Bea) June Laughlin, 76, passed away Dec. 15, 2014, and followed her husband’s death, Daniel Lee Laughlin, 76, on Feb. 23, 2014. They were married more than 55 years. In 1960 they moved to Phoenix, and in 1985 they moved to Wickenburg where they founded Excel Sheet Metal. Dan’s passions were simple: hunting, fishing, camping and family. He is survived by four sisters, Patricia Thompson, Charlene Kress, Cecilia Wilimitis and Carolyn Carroll. Bea worked for Cartwright School District before retiring in the 1990s. She was always the life of the party and adored her family and friends. Social activities were many, but most will say her favorite was visiting casinos. Bea is survived by two sisters, Beverly DeFoe and Carol Damaso. Both Bea and Dan are survived by their four children, Jim, Joe (Dolores), John (Stacy) and Lori (John Pappas), seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Liturgy with memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Jan. 10, at St. Stephen’s Byzantine Cathedral, 8141 N. 16th Street, Phoenix. A reception will immediately follow the service. In lieu of flowers, friends and relatives are asked to consider donating to CancerCare.org or the Alzheimer Association Desert Southwest.
