James (Jim) Adams left us peacefully on Dec. 19, 2014, after a stroke that caused more damage than his body could overcome. He was born in Stoughton, Mass., to Alexander and Nellie Adams on Nov. 14, 1952, the fifth of six children. He is now having a joyous reunion with his mom and dad.
He is survived by his loving son, Matthew Adams; granddaughter Giana Marie; and former wife Karen Adams, all of Stoughton; sisters, Carol Ann (CL) Beard of Wickenburg, Patricia Sim of Yarnell, and Robertta (Joseph) Lynch of Fitchburg, Mass; brothers Alexander (Joyce) Adams of Holliston, Mass., and Thomas (Barbara) Adams of Sun City; many cousins, nieces, nephews, and many, many, friends.
He always had a heart for those in need and placed little value on material possessions. If you needed it, he gave it to you. He was a welder by trade and spent the first half of his life in Massachusetts and the second half in Arizona. He felt most at home in his numerous treks in the desert.
There will be a gathering of friends and family in the spring at a favorite spot in the desert in Wickenburg, where he and his son Matthew spent many hours, and where we will celebrate Jim’s life.
