The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona, Thursday, January 02, 1975 Services held for Howard Coffinger (Thursday, Jan. 2, 1975) The flag flew at half-mast at Wickenburg Town Hall as hundreds of local residents mourned the passing of long-time resident Howard L. Coffinger. Coffinger, 66, died Dec. 21 in the Wickenburg Community Hospital. Services were held Monday, Dec. 28 at the Wickenburg Funeral Home Chapel that he had owned since 1934. Coffinger started in the business in 1929 when he went to work for Grimshaw Mortuary in Phoenix. He served as a member of the Wickenburg School Board of Trustees, and the athletic field at Sols Wash Park was named after him.
