HANSEN, Donald L.

The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, Arizona Wednesday, December 31, 2014 Donald L Hansen Born 5/31/38, received into the Lord's hands 12/25/14. Schooling was at the "The Little Red School" in Cornville, Cottonwood Elementary and Cottonwood High School. He served 2 years in the Army, and then spent 37 years as a Meter Reader and Serviceman with APS. He loved hunting, camping and the outdoors and enjoyed playing cards with his family and friends. He was active in Emmaus, Mountain View United Methodist Church, Kamp-O-Larks camping group and was a Life Member of the Masonic Lodge. He had a big heart and used it to serve his fellow man. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Elaine Hansen of Cottonwood, son Tim (Mary) Hansen of Flagstaff, daughter Valerie (Jim) Myers of Cottonwood, 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Memorial service to be held at Mountain View United Methodist Church in Cottonwood at 2 p.m. on January 3rd. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Donnie's memory to Mountain View United Methodist Church in Cottonwood at 901 South 12th Street, Cottonwood, AZ 86326. Information provided by survivors.
