Betty Downe Swadling of Lake Havasu City, age 66, passed away Dec. 28,
2014 surrounded by her loving family and friends. She is survived by
Robert Swadling; daughters, Kelly Faust (Andrew) of Clifton Springs,
N.Y. and Heather Cruz (Ozzie) of Jupiter, Fla. and four grandchildren,
Brooke and Tyler Faust and Oscar and Jax Cruz. She is also survived by
her sister, Judy Haynes (Bob) of Lake Havasu City; as well as her niece,
Kerry Wells and nephew, Mike Haynes, their families and many cherished
friends.
Betty was born in Teaneck, N.J. June 3, 1948, daughter of Albro and
Dorothy Downe. She earned an Associates Degree in Business from Mitchell
College in 1969. She worked at various jobs that included banking and
light industry. Her most treasured job was the job she had at Dunlap’s
right in town. Betty even became known to many as “Betty Dunlap!”
Betty put her heart into everything and everyone she met throughout her
life. She was a friend to all!
A celebration of Betty’s life will be Friday, Jan. 2, 2015 at 1 p.m. at
Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home, 21 Riviera Blvd., Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403.
