Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Saturday, January 3, 2015 - Joseph “Cliff” Freer died peacefully Friday, Dec, 26, 2014 after a long battle with cancer. Cliff was born Nov. 2, 1950 in Kingston, N.Y. He came to Lake Havasu in 1987 and worked as an electrician and became the owner of C2 Electric. Cliff also served in the United States Marine Corps. Cliff loved to play the guitar and was a past president of the Lake Havasu Parrott Head Club. To say he loved Jimmy Buffett would be an understatement. He is survived by his mother Joan; sons, Clifford and Christopher of New York; brother Mike of California; sister Gloria of Mesa; many nieces and nephews and his best friend Tina Booth. He is preceded in death by his father, Cliff and brother Bobby. Services are set for 11 a.m., Friday, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. Burial to follow at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens. The family requests that donations be made in his name to Hospice of Lake Havasu. Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
