Lucia C. Nosie went to be with the Lord Dec. 23, 2014, at the Whiteriver Indian Hospital in Whiteriver after a long battle of illness.
Lucia was born April 25, 1940, to Perry and Lida T. Chino.
She attended Theodore Roosevelt Boarding School. Lucia worked at the WMA Restaurant and Motel as a maid and dishwasher. After that, she was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with grandchildren. Lucia was a faithful woman of God.
She is survived by her son, Raymus Chino; her adopted son Jaydee Nosie; daughters Avonia Cosay, Letha Cosay and Carla N. Baylish; 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Lucia was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos Nosie, son Daniel Cosay, daughter Norma Cosay, grandson Jimmy Chino and parents, Perry and Lida Chino.
Lucia’s wake was held Jan. 3 at Lucia Nosie’s residence. Funeral services were held Jan. 5 at the Canyon Day A/6 Church.
