LANGDON, Wesley Charles (Wes)


The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona, May 17, 2005 Wesley C. Langdon of Globe passed away in Copper Mnt. Inn Nursing Home - Globe on May 14, 2005. Wes was born on July 27, 1915 of a pioneer family near Globe in Copper Hill, which is now a ghost town. At the time of his birth, his parents lived in Miami, AZ but the only hospital in the vicinity was in Copper Hill. He was orphaned at an early age and was raised in Globe by his paternal grandparents and attended Globe High School. He retired from Inspiration Consolidated Copper Co. in 1979. Wes was a long-time member of Globe Elks Lodge and was a former member of the Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star in Globe. He enjoyed watching sports on TV, especially the Diamondbacks. Wes will be greatly missed by his many friends. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his daughter Kristie Sue Bonner. He is survived by his wife Pat of 69 years, brother-in-law, Joe (Dee Ann) Patrick of Mesa, daughter Patricia (Roger) Mahon of Arizona City, grandson Craig Bonner of Las Vegas, NV, granddaughters Kim (Beto) Bustamante of Las Vegas, NV, Shannon (Mel) Boyer of Tucson, Stacey (Rick) Krogman of New River, step-grandsons Shawn (Joanna) Mahon of Tucson, Brad (Cindy) Mahon of Gilbert, step-granddaughter, Christia (Ed) Woodford of Huntsville, Al, 11 great- grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren, loving nephews Joe Jr and Bill Patrick. A celebration of life will be held Wed., May 18 @ 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Country Club Manor. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made in Wes's name to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 749 Fourth Ave., Miami, Az. 85539.
