Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Wednesday, January 7, 2015 - Lois G. Woodward, 86, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, Dec. 8, 2014. Born in Lewistown, Pa. Oct. 24, 1928 to parents Grace and Cecil Harvey. She met and married her husband Bruce Woodward in Fitchburg, Mass. and they enjoyed a lifetime adventure together raising a family of four, traveling the world during Bruce’s 30 years of service in the United States Air Force. Lois and Bruce settled near two of their children in Lake Havasu City; Bruce passed away in 2001. Lois continued a very involved life in Lake Havasu City, sharing a home with grandson Kyle Woodward, she volunteered and contributed to many faith-based and service organizations including the St. Michael’s United Methodist Church and The Salvation Army. She loved and enjoyed all her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren, along with a large circle of close friends, which included regular outings with Lake Havasu City’s “Lois Club”. She also loved camping and going to off-road events with son Bill and wife Patti to watch grandsons Kyle and Kamren race. A devout Christian, Lois loved the Lord and truly lived a giving life, always concerned for others first. Lois is survived by brother, Robert Harvey of Rainier, Wash., nieces Carol and Tracy; her children, Carol (Ed) Olson, granddaughters Cathy and Carol, grandsons Derrick and Kevin, great-grandson Nathan and great- granddaughters Madison, Bristol, Karlae, Hayley and Elsa; daughter, Susan (Manuel) Gonzales, granddaughters Chanda and Kyla, grandson Christian and great-granddaughter Isla; son, Robert (Cynthia) Woodward, granddaughter Lia and grandson Brandon; son, William (Patti) Woodward, granddaughter Chelsea, grandsons Kyle and Kamren and great-granddaughter Abby. A celebration of life will be at 2 p.m., Saturday at St. Michael’s United Methodist Church, 2895 S. Jamaica Blvd., with a reception to follow for family and friends at the Church’s Wesley Wing. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to St. Michael’s United Methodist Church.
