Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Saturday, January 10, 2015 - Ina Marilyn Ebert, passed away Jan. 5, 2015. She was born Nov. 20, 1934 as Ina Marilyn Sellinger in Bronx, N.Y. to the late Samual and Gertrude Sellinger. She was 80 years old. Ina was raised in New York until moving to California when she was sixteen. She graduated from Oakland Tech High School in Oakland, Calif. She and husband, Forrest Ebert Sr., were wed in June 1955 at the Lake Marriot Hotel in Oakland. Ina and her husband were residents of California until 1999. Together, they raised three children. After her children were grown, she worked as a successful headhunter for Snealing and Snealing and also was a juvenile court representative for Contra Costa County. Known best for her delectable chicken and dumplings, Ina was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother (Nanny). Her greatest joy was catering to her family. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Rebecca Lodge, Red Hats, the New Yorkers and Teton Trailer club. She loved life and all that it had to offer. She always looked at the positive side of everything. Ina is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Forrest Ebert Sr.; son, Forrest Ebert Jr. of Concord, Calif.; daughters, Sharon Aldridge of Lake Havasu City, and Alison (Tino) Mendoza of Elk Grove, Calif.; as well as seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by both parents and her granddaughter, Samantha. Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
