Bill was born in Pasadena, Calif. Jan. 12, 1921. He attended Santa
Monica public schools followed by a two-year trade school. At the age of

Bill spent most of his working career as a building contractor in a
special niche market working for Hollywood luminaries. He then worked in

things in life, like spending time with family, reading, boating,

grandchildren to play and enjoy bridge as well. Bill was a devoted
husband and father as his family was his highest priority.

his sister, Mary Ann and brother, John. Bill is survived by his wife
Ruth; with whom he enjoyed nearly 73 years of marriage. He also is
survived by his two sons, Richard (Pamela) Hawkins of Lake Havasu City
and James (Lamar) Hawkins of Topanga Canyon, Calif. and his two
brothers, Alfred Hawkins and Robert Hawkins. In addition, he leaves
