Vistoso Funeral Home, Oro Valley, Arizona Sheryl (Barger) DeLoria December 28, 1954 - November 22, 2014 Sheryl (Barger) DeLoria passed away peacefully on Nov. 22nd, 2014 after a long struggle with cancer. She was born on December 28, 1954 and spent each moment of her 60 years full of life, laughter & love. Although Sheryl lived the last 25 years in Arizona, Fairborn & Dayton Ohio were her home for the first half of her life. Sheryl is preceded in her death by her father Curtyleese Barger and mother Helen Marie Barger. She is survived by her dog Sophia, brothers Gregory (Jan) Barger and Brian (Kathy) Barger, sisters Dr. Karen Doherty and Gemma (Terry) Aldridge, and eleven nieces, nephews, grand nieces/nephew. Prior to being disabled by cancer, Sheryl’s career was in banking, where she apparently mastered the fine art of spending money with unbridled abandon. But the money she spent was frequently on someone else and her most endearing traits were her extreme generosity, extraordinary personal kindness, and the world-renowned Chile Rellenos she cooked. A private family gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations are encouraged to local animal rescue organizations.
