The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 01/16/2015 Richard E. Fore, 81, resident of Surprise and formerly of Snowflake, went home to be with his Lord Jan. 5, 2015, at his home in Surprise surrounded by his family. He was born April 28, 1933, in Illinois. Dick proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1953-55 and honorably discharged at the rank of corporal. Dick was a master carpenter and cabinet maker and loved working with wood. He was employed with Maricopa County in the Facilities Maintenance Division and retired in 1994 after more than 20 years of service. Dick married Mary Burgess in June 1952 and they enjoyed over 62 wonderful years together. Dick is survived by his wife, Mary; sons Dale (Debbie), Allen (Penny) and Tony (Pam), all of the Phoenix area; adopted daughter Kim Fore of Concho; five granddaughters; four stepgrandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; 15 stepgreat-grandchildren; and one stepgreat-great-grandson. He is also survived by a sister-in-law, Barbara Fore, and several nieces and nephews in Illinois. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Richard and Myrtle Young Fore. A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, at the First Country Baptist Church of Surprise, 12844 W. Santa Fe Drive, in Surprise.
