REESE, Billy Dean


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 01/16/2015 Billy Dean Reese died Jan. 2, 2015. He went peacefully following his daughter, Brenda, who passed suddenly Dec. 18, 2014. Billy was born July 17, 1926, to Frank Reese and Anna Snyder in Diamond, Mo., in 1926. Billy taught school in Comanche and Yukon, Okla., and in Benson and Sierra Vista. He also taught English at Cochise College. He was a military analyst at ManTech in Sierra Vista. Billy loved golf and dancing and he was also an artist. Billy served in the U.S. Army in World War II from February 1945 to November 1946 as a tech 4 HQ 5 BTRY 2273rd Anti Aircraft Artillery. He is survived by his brother, Howard, from Tulsa, Okla.; son-in-law Duane Gibson; and his beautiful granddaughter, Layla Jones. Billy was preceded in death by his parents, brother, two sisters and his daughter, Brenda Gibson. Services will be held at a later date. Silver Creek Mortuary of Taylor handled arrangements.
