Alvin “AL” Pool, 79, died peacefully Jan. 11, 2015. Born to Marie and
John Pool, June 13, 1935 in Hayes, Kan. At age 15, he moved to Michigan
and through hard work, owned and operated Courtesy Bakery for 45 years.
In 1982, Al moved to Lake Havasu City. He first was a Moose Lodge member
and in 1992 became Charter Member #5 to the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
He was the only Aerie member at #4299 to have held office from
institution. He was a Past Worthy President and a 10-year Aerie
Secretary of the Eagles.
Al Pool got married in 1954 to Lorraine Steele. Steele passed away in
1992. In 1994, he met Marie Langlois, they were together until her
passing in 2013.
Al was survived by five children, Diane Krueger, John Pool, David Pool,
Julie Davis and Jeanne Younk; 15 grandchildren and nine great-
grandchildren; his brothers and sisters, Jack Pool, Ron Pool, Wayne
Pool(deceased), Jeanne Loiacano, and several nieces and nephews; as well
a loving man to his step-children, Cyndi Korman, Brenda Dalton, Thomas
Langlois, Brian Langlois and Michelle Barton.
There will be a celebration of life at 2 p.m., Monday at the Eagles,
1561 Marlboro Dr.
Instead of flowers, the family request donations to be made to the
Fraternal Order of the Eagles Heart or Hospice. Where people help
