Greer’s Mortuary of Winslow, Winslow, Arizona Pitacio S. Martinez February 15, 1925 - January 12, 2015 PFC, Pitacio S. Martinez, World War II Veteran passed away in his home peacefully on January 12, 2015. Pitacio was born in Belen, New Mexico on Feb. 15, 1925. He married Mary Martinez on November 26, 1946 and lived in the same house for 68 years. Pitacio loved his family, community and church. Pitacio loved watching his kids and grandchildren play sports. Pitacio is survived by his Daughter: Linda (Thomas) Chacon, Sons: Raymond (Kelly) Martinez, Johnny (Debbie) Martinez, Tommy (Debbie) Martinez, Victor Martinez, brother Demesio Martinez, 23 Grandchildren, 40 Great- grandchildren, and 5 Great-Great Grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Pitacio was preceded in death by his loving wife Mary Martinez, daughter Sylvia Walton, daughter-in-law Alice Martinez, Grand-Daughter Monica Martinez and Grandson Steven Sanchez. Viewing will be Wednesday, January 14, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Greer’s Mortuary Chapel Celebration of life will be held at Madre de Dios on Thursday, January 15, 2015 with Holy Rosary at 9:30am and Mass of Christian burial at 10:00am. Pitacio will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
