Mohave Daily News, Mohave Valley, AZ - Published in Mohave Daily News Online from Jan. 8 to Jan. 15, 2015 - Tom Atteberry, age 64, died Friday, January 2, 2015. He was born January 24, 1950 in Carrolton, Ill. to Lois Marshall and Harold Atteberry. Tom retired from the Air Force and worked in administration with the Amarillo Police Department until his health would not allow him. He genuinely loved the men and women he served with at the APD. Tom loved his dogs, and was an avid Star Trek fan. Tom was preceded in death by his Grandpa Atteberry, and his first wife, Janet Atteberry. He is survived by his wife of twelve years, Emily Atteberry; a daughter, Jennifer Beltran and husband Juan of Calif. and their two children, Caleb and Dominic; step-sons, Dominick Carrillo of Ariz., James Carrillo of N.M., Charles Carrillo of Ark.; his mother, Lois Rogers of Fla.; his brothers, Ron Atteberry and wife Joanne of Ind., and Don Atteberry and wife Karen of S.C.; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, January 9, 2015 at Cox Funeral Home Benton Chapel, with Charlie Cox officiating.
