RIVARD, Clara Hobart Cox

The Arizona Republic December 31, 2000 Clara Hobart Cox Rivard was born in Yuma, Arizona Territory, February 25, 1909, the daughter of Chester Edward and Jane Fyfe Hobart, pioneer Yuma Valley farmers. She passed away December 21, 2000 in San Pedro, California. Clara married Augustus Dale Cox Jr. and lived in Yuma before they moved to Phoenix in the early 1950's. Dale passed away in 1964. In 1969, she married Lee H.D. Rivard of Harbor City, California and has lived there until her death. Lee passed away in 1989. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Lucy Hobart and brothers, Charles and Frank Hobart. She is survived by her sister, Anne Hobart Wilson Oliver of Tempe AZ; stepdaughter, Pat LaCourse of Harbor City CA nieces: Denise Wilson of Sacramento CA; and Jane Hobart Minshall of Phoenix AZ and Kansas City MO; nephews: Gene H. Wilson of Murphys CA and Bill H. Hobart of Brea CA; 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Clara had been active in Las Vecinas, P.E.O. and Eastern Star. Memorial service was held at St. Mark's Presbyterian Church, 24027 Pennsylvania Ave., Lomita CA.
