EASTMAN, Robert (Bob)


The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Thursday, January 22, 2015 Robert "Bob" or "Rob" Eastman, 76, passed away peacefully Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015, at home. He was preceded in death by his wife of 27 years, Patricia Eastman. He was a graduate of San Jose State College where he served as class president his senior year. He served his country in the U.S. Navy Reserves as air crew for P2V anti-submarine patrols. After living most of his life in Southern California where he founded Eastman & Company Insurance Brokers, he retired to Prescott, Arizona. Although his move to Chattanooga, Tennessee, was compelled by poor health, he thoroughly enjoyed living eight months as a Southerner. He is survived by his girlfriend Sue Shields of Prescott; brother Roger (Jeannie) Eastman; five children, Michael (Laura Finch) Eastman of Chattanooga, Natalie (Sean Harper) Eastman Allen of Chattanooga, Jeff (Bonnie) Frith-Smith of Simi Valley, California, Chris (Kimmie) Frith-Smith of Santa Clarita, California, and Kimberly (Steve) Frith-Smith Field of Newbury Park, California; 11 grandchildren; three nieces; and many friends in California, Arizona and Tennessee. Graveside funeral services with military honors will be conducted at the Chattanooga National Cemetery. Condolences may be shared at LaneFH.com.
