The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Thursday, January 22, 2015 Sybil Elaine Lane, 89, passed away on Jan. 4, 2015. She was born in Mogadore, Ohio, on Jan. 24, 1925, to Earl and Helen Otto. She is survived by her children, Cheryl Berry (Casey), Darrel McIntosh (Teresa), Roger McIntosh (Kelly) and Gayle McIntosh. Elaine was an accomplished artist. After her retirement as school librarian with Prescott Unified School District (Lincoln Elementary), she devoted the remainder of her life to her art. She was one of the founding members of the Mountain Artists Guild and, until her death, a member of the High Desert Artists Inc. in Chino Valley. She was a former member of the legendary artist coterie known as Group4. She will be remembered by family and friends for her wit, wisdom and grace, which invariably informed her art. "We who draw do so not only to make something visible to others but also to accompany something invisible to its incalculable destination." As she requested, there will be no memorial service.
