Cloride, Ariz., July 13--His failure to look into the shaft before he stepped into what he supposed was the cage cost Nova Bordelli, an Italian employed at the Tennessee mine, his life. Bordelli, who was tramming a car of ore preparatory to running it into the cage, plunged 500 feet with his car. Every bone in his body was broken in the plunge from the 900 to the 1400 level.
