Hassayampa Miner (Wickenburg AZ) Friday, July 14, 1916 p 3 Notice of Forfeiture Hot Springs, Arizona, April 13, 1916 To A C Barker and Walter Bennett, their heirs and assigns: Each of you is hereby notified that F A Lehmann, deceased, and the estate of F A Lehmann, deceased, have expended during the years 1903 to 1915, both years inclusive, at least one hundred dollars ($100.00) for each year on each claim, or twenty-six hundred dollars ($2600.00) in all in labor and improvements upon the following named lode mining claims: Wallie Lode Mining Claim, notice of location whereof is recorded in Book 28 of Mines, page 622, and Rattlesnake Lode Mining Claim, notice of location whereof is recorded in Book 22 of Mines at page 249, the above described mining claims being located in the Castle Creek Mining District, Yavapai County, Arizona, and the above records being the records of the County Recorder of Yavapai County, State of Arizona. That said work was done upon the above mentioned claims in order to hold them under the provisions of section 2324 of the Revised Statutes of the United States, and the amendments thereto, approved January 22, 1880 concerning annual labor upon mining claims, being the amount required to hold said lode claims for said years and including the period ending December 31, 1915. And if within ninety (90) days from the personal service of this notice, or within ninety (90) days after the publication thereof, either of you fail or refuse to contribute your portion of such expenditure as co-owner your interest in said mining claims will become the property of the estate of F A Lehmann, deceased, your co-owner, who has made the required expenditure by the terms of said section.
