STEPHENSON, William (Bill) E.

The Arizona Republic December 30, 2000 William (Bill) E. Stephenson, Born: June 27, 1924 to Robert Samuel Stephenson and Eva Catherine Fulkerson in Newton County, MO. Died: December 28, 2000. After graduating from High School, he enlisted in the Air Force and served as an aircraft mechanic. He was discharged with the rank of Master/Sergeant. He worked most of his life as a Journeyman Mechanic and retired from Salt River Project in 1988. After three months of retirement he was employed by the Sun City West Recreation Center. Illness took over and in 1998 he retired. Bill was a member of the Peoria Country Meadows Lions. Bill is survived by Norma, his wife of 54 years; two sons Rick & Scot; four daughters, Cathy Childress, Cindy Cooper, Betty Wagoner & Julie Stephenson; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four sisters, Virginia McClure, Velma Zebert, Roberta Stanley and Ruth Graham. Visitation and services at Sunland Lakeside Chapel, 15826 Del Webb Blvd., Sun City, AZ 85351.
