RODRIGUEZ, Jose Eduardo (Joe)

Vining Funeral Home, Safford, Arizona Jose Eduardo Rodriguez November 13, 1928 - January 11, 2015 Jose Rodriguez or Joe as he was affectionately known throughout his life, age 86, of Clifton entered into eternal rest late Sunday evening, January 11, 2015, at the Tucson Medical Center. Joe was born November 13, 1928 in Morenci to Vicente and Florencia Rodriguez. He grew up and attended schools in Morenci, where he met the love of his life, Martha Aguallo. They were married April 24, 1949. Together, Joe and Martha were blessed with three children, Patricia, Richard and Armando. Joe worked in the panel yard for Phelps Dodge Mining Corporation until his retirement in 1983. He was an accomplished trumpeter and dedicated his time and talent to many in the community through the church as well as providing the final solemn salute of taps for fallen veterans. Joe will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, musician and friend. He was an active parishioner at Sacred Heart Catholic Parish. Joe is survived by: his wife of nearly 66 years, Martha; his daughter, Patricia Gutierrez (Ron); a son, Richard; his brother, John Rodriguez; four grandchildren, Michelle Rene Jaime, Robert Joseph Gutierrez, Richard Vincent Rodriguez and Martina Ellena Rodriguez; four great-grandsons, Jakub Isacc Jaime, Armando Cristobal Burrola, Richard Vincent Rodriguez, Jr. and Joseph Rene Rodriguez; and one great-great-granddaughter, Nevaeh Mycal Faith Vallejo Jaime. Joe was predeceased by: his father, Vicente; his mother, Florencia; his older brother, Vicente O. Rodriguez; and his youngest son, Armando Rodriguez.
