HARRIS, Hugh Walton

The Arizona Republic December 28, 2000 Hugh Walton Harris, 73, of Phoenix AZ, died Dec. 25, 2000. Born Dec. 17, 1927 in Southside TN, the son of Herbert Stanley & Gertrude Elizabeth (Wall), he served in both the U.S. Coast Guard and Navy during WWII. He married Bobbie Sykes on Aug. 29, 1949 in Detroit Michigan. They moved to Phoenix in 1961 from Michigan. Mr. Harris worked as a mechanic for AZ Sand & Rock until retiring in 1983. He was also co-owner/operator of Harris Ceramics and a member of the Masonic Lodge & Teamsters. Mr. Harris is survived by his wife, daughter Brenda & her husband Mark Pinch; 3 brothers George, Stanley & Melvin; & 2 grand children, Bonnie & Mark Pinch. Visitation with graveside services at Phoenix Memorial Park & Mortuary, 200 W. Beardsley Rd.
