Born in Cheyenne, Wyoming, Cook was the president of a plumbing and heating company and a US Army veteran. He is survived by his wife, Marion; son, Peter W.; stepson, Phillip Helms Cook; and one grandchild. Green Acres Mortuary made the arrangements.
