HUME, SR., Emery Gilbert

Silver Creek Mortuary, Taylor, Arizona Emery Gilbert Hume (February 13, 1949 - January 20, 2015) Emery G. Hume Sr. went to be with the lord January 20th, 2015 at Mountain Vista Medical Center after a long battle of illness. He was born March 13th, 1949 in Cibecue, Arizona to James Hume and Mary Teasley. He married Pauline Altaha for some years. They had one son, Emery Hume Jr. Emery Sr. graduated from Sherman Indian High School in Riverside, California. He also went to Gilbert College in Los Angeles, California for Culinary Arts. Emery did odds and ends jobs. He loved his family and grandkids. Emery made friends wherever he went and he will be missed greatly. Emery is Survived by his son, Emery G. Hume Jr. and his daughter Josephine Ivins; younger brother, Stanley Hume; older sister, Melvina (Hume) Burke; younger sister, Marilyn Hume; plus many nieces, nephews, 3 grandchildren and 3 great- grandchildren. He is preceded in Death by his grandson, Donavan Hume; brother, Ray Hume and his nephew Mathias Miller Jr. A wake will be held Friday Jan 30th, 2015 at 10:00am at 620 S. Cooley Rd. Cibecue, Arizona. His funeral will be held Saturday Jan 31st, 2015 at 2:00pm at Lower Mission School in Cibecue, Arizona followed by Interment at the Lower Mission School Cemetery.
