Silver Creek Mortuary, Taylor, Arizona Maggie Janeway-Shaffer (December 5, 1942 - January 19, 2015) Maggie Janeway Shaffer went to be with the lord January 19th, 2015 at Scottsdale Osborne Medical Center surrounded by loved ones. Maggie was born December 5th, 1942 in Cibecue, Arizona to Norman Janeway and Flora Pahe. She loved serving the Lord and attended The Assembly of God Church in Cibecue. She loved reading her scriptures, loved to sing and was constantly in prayer; all which brought her happiness and filled her with joy. She attended the old Mission School in Cibecue when growing up and was a choir leader. Maggie worked and had various jobs with WMAT. She worked as a dispatcher for the Police Dept; she was a nursing home caretaker, a cashier for local stores and a transportation driver for the Indian Health Services. She loved her family and taking care of them was priority. Maggie would help others; always putting their needs before her own. She had unconditional love for everyone who was blessed with her presence. Maggie is survived by her companion, Jimmy Smith; two sons, Fernando Smith Sr. and Ernest Smith; plus four grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, two sisters and many friends and family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Norman Janeway and Flora Pahe; brother, Harley Janeway; two children, Irene Smith and Norman Smith. A wake will be held Thursday Jan. 29th, 2015 at 10:00am at 105 E. 2nd St in Cibecue. The funeral will be held Saturday Jan, 31st, 2015 at 10:00am at 105 E. 2nd St in Cibecue.
