Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, Arizona, Tuesday, January 27, 2015 Larry Lee Finstad Sr. of Roosevelt, Ariz. passed away at the age of 72 on January 17, 2015. Larry was born on March 15, 1942 in Finland. Larry is survived by his wife of 41 years, Sharon Finstad of Globe, Ariz.; his daughters Christina Lopez of Globe, Shari Copple (Brian) of Woodlawn, Ill., and Sherrie Finstad of Idaho; sons Larry Finstad Jr. of Davenport, Iowa, David Finstad of Harlen, Idaho, Keith Finstad (Amanda) of Oceanside, Cali., Robert Finstad and Miranda Tiney of Tucson, Ariz.; grandchildren Angel, Duke, Helena, Burgundy, Autumn, Rebecca, Jonathan, Brittany and Mathew; and great-grandchildren Kaden, Karli, Ovanjolene, and Lawrence. Larry is proceeded in death by his son Lavern Finstad and grandson Brandon Copple. Dedicated miner and electrical engineer for over 35 years until retirement following an industrial accident. Larry was the owner and operator of Roy’s Tavern, and was the former Commander of Gila County Search and Rescue. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, hiking, boating, and camping. Larry loved spending time with family, friends, and dogs Snowball and Patches. Per Larry’s request, no funeral services will be held. Condolences can be sent to Sharon Finstad at 5900 N. Main, lot 127, Globe, AZ 85501. A memorial service will be held March 15, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. in Roosevelt, Ariz. Location at Roosevelt to be determined.
