Wickenburg Funeral Home & Crematory, Wickenburg, Arizona Craig Michael Elg October 1, 1961 - January 29, 2015 Craig Michael Elg October 1, 1961 - January 29, 2015 Craig Michael Elg passed away from cancer, January 29th, 2015 surrounded by family, at his home on Thunderridge Airpark in Morristown, Arizona. He was 53 years old. Craig was born on October 1st, 1961 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to Dorothy (Elg )Chmiel and Rodney Elg. He married Sarah Gilman in 1983 and was blessed with two children, Whitney Elg-Salsman and Nicholas Elg. Craig was an accomplished pilot, aircraft mechanic, inspector and business owner. Most of his adult life was spent in Alaska where he owned and operated Regal Air Flying Service and later Emerald Air Service and Homer Floatplane Lodge. Craig’s greatest love was flying all types of aircraft from RC models to Learjets. He also loved to build and refurbish airplanes. He supported EAA, AOPA and the NRDC. He was a loving husband, father and son. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Sunday, February 1, 2015 at Wickenburg Funeral Home at 187 N. Adams St. A Funeral Mass will be set at a later date in Alaska. Sunday February 1, 2015, 11:00 AM at Wickenburg Funeral Home.
