Chester M. Erickson, 79, of Wolf Point, Montana, died Dec. 1, 2000, in Casa Grande.
Mr. Erickson was born June 24, 1921 in Wolf Point to Oscar and Mae (Sonmor) Erickson.
A Navy veteran, he was a grain and cattle producer before retirement. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and Elks in Montana. He had been a winter visitor in Arizona for two months.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Elva; two daughters, April Erickson of Newport, Wash., and Ruth Erickson of Nashua, Mont.; five sons, Dale Erickson of Wolf Point, Gordon Erickson of Ketchikan, Alaska, Lee Erickson of Albuquerque, N.M., Russell Erickson of Evanston, Wyo., and Tim Erickson of Wolf Point; a sister, Marie Ferdina of Wolf Point; a brother, Wilber Erickson of Wolf Point; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a son, Jim Erickson, and a brother, Ernest Erickson.
The memorial service was at Central Lutheran Church in Arizona City, with the Rev. Thom Stephens officiating. Simes Mortuaries Casa Grande Chapel.
