HARMON, Gary V.


The Arizona Republic February 11, 2004 Gary V. Harmon, 61, of Scottsdale and Forest Lakes, AZ died Feb. 7, 2004, in a tragic snowmobiling accident. He was born in Phoenix on Nov. 29, 1941 and served in the Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a General Contractor for many years in Phoenix, taking over the company started by his father, Vernon Harmon Construction Company. He was an avid sportsman, a member of Ducks Unlimited, is listed in the Boone & Crockett record book, and loved snowmobiling and other outdoor activities. He is survived by his wife, Mary; his daughters, Cathy and Lori Harmon; his granddaughter, Kylie Hulme; his sisters, Diane Marazita and Sally Close; his brother, Ron Harmon; his mother, Evelyn Turley; and his father, Vernon Harmon. Services at Messinger Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Rd., Scottsdale, AZ. In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent to Desert Bighorn Sheep Society.
