KAESTNER, Edward S.


The AZ Republic December 16, 1964 Edward S. Kaestner, 67, a 25-year Phoenix resident and former chief architect for the Federal Housing Authority, died December 15, 1964, in Doctors Hospital. Mr. Kaestner, 92 W. Moreland, moved to Phoenix from Washington. He was born in Clinton, Iowa, and retired in 1958. He was a member of the First Congregational Church, Woodmen of the World, and National Association of Retired Civil Employees. Surviving are his wife, Alna M.; two daughters, Mrs. Claire B. Vogeler of Golden, Colorado, and Mrs. Hazel I. Ferguson of Wirtz, Virginia; two sons, Henry F. and Robert D., both of Scottsdale; three brothers, William of Rudyard, Michigan, Alfred of Livonia, Michigan, and Erwin of Sacramento, California; five sisters, Mrs. Florence Prim of Eau Galli, Florida, Mrs. Clara Wideman and Mrs. Loreta Perron, both of Orlando, Florida; Mrs. Vernia MacDonald of Detroit, Michigan, and Mrs. Bernice Kracht of Phoenix; 12 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. Services in Mercer Mortuary, the Rev. H. Shelby Lee officiating. Cremation.
