Arrangements by Hampton Funeral Home. ~~~~~~~~~~ The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Sunday, February 08, 2015 Gloria C. (Kloss) Gagnon Euler, 89, passed away and her soul set free for her next journey on Feb. 2, 2015, in Prescott, Arizona. She was born Dec. 15, 1925, in Altoona, Pennsylvania, to Daniel B. and Gloria C. Kloss. Prescott had been her home since 1957 with the exception of four years in Tucson and 10 years at Grand Canyon Village. She was blessed with two satisfying marriages. Known by some as "Go-Go," Gloria lived a full and active life. She truly loved the West and the great outdoors. In her younger years, she enjoyed hiking, camping, skiing, and river running in the Grand Canyon. She had a lifelong passion of travel, and a deep pleasure of reading and learning about archaeology, mythology, true-life explorations and diverse ideas and cultures. In the 1960s she taught Sunday school at St. Luke's Episcopal Church and was the first female to be elected to St. Luke's vestry. She enjoyed volunteering at Prescott Pioneer Home, sharing her talents of arts and crafts. She believed that life is all about learning, and worked as hard to acquire knowledge as she did to impart it. Her quick wit and sense of humor was admired by all. Gloria is survived by her sister, Harriet Gilbert; four children, Patricia B. Gagnon, Michele Gagnon, Sherry Gagnon and Daniel H. Gagnon; seven grandchildren, Thomas Dent, Houston Crouse, Marie Higgins, Casey Higgins, Celia Apodaca, Nicholas Gagnon and Jessica Gagnon; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Henry Kloss, and her husbands, Joseph (Jim) W. Gagnon and Robert C. Euler. Gloria did not want a funeral or memorial service. She asked of those who wish to celebrate her to do it through a kind deed for someone in need. She also suggested "you buy yourself a bunch of flowers, fill a glass and toast me on my way." In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Prescott Public Library or Acker Foundation. Arrangements by Hampton Funeral Home. Information provided by survivors.
